Hey queers, I’m excited to bring you some awesome events for your Friday the 13th!
If the weather isn’t putting you in the Fall state of mind, these events sure will! Whether you’re into make-up, hikes, or cult-classics, there’s something for you. Enjoy!
Location: Better. A Studio for You
Time and Date: 10/13, 7:00PM-9:00PM
Highlights: All ages, fun and supportive environment, fun Halloween makeup theme, safe place to try new looks and styles, monthly class
Have you thought “I wish my face looked like a Lisa Frank cheetah” or “I want to be the sexiest Beetlejuice anyone has ever seen” (sry Michael Keaton), then this class is what you’ve been waiting for! Morrigana will guide you as you master the trickiest of Halloween makeup ideas. An added bonus to this event is that you can sharpen your makeup skills AND take your look out on on the town to other fun events that night.
Location: Chatham University’s Eddy Theater

Price: FREE, donations will be collected for Proud Haven
Highlights: 18+, free event, accepting donations for Proud Haven, Chatham student-led production, costumes encouraged, queer show theme for LGBTQIA+ History Month
Rocky Horror Picture Show has become a staple for many fall-fanatics. What better way to spend a chilly fall evening than seeing sexy people on and off the big screen! This free event stars (and is produced by) Chatham students. If these coeds weren’t already killin’ it, they’ll also be collecting donations for Proud Haven.

Price: Suggested donations of $10.00
Highlights: 16+, night hike through Frick Park, exploration activities, spooky storytelling, Sustainable Sipping takes place before the hike for the 21+ crowd
How often do you get to explore Frick Park with professional naturalists AND listen to creepy storytelling?! This is a great opportunity to get the right amount of scared while exploring Pittsburgh’s largest city park. If you’re 21+, you could also attend Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy’s Sustainable Sipping before your nighttime adventures!

Time and Date: 10/13, 10:00PM- 10/14, 2:00AM
Highlights: 21+, local burlesque and gender performers, super special anniversary show, raffles and 50/50 led by Steel City Sisters, Etna Print Circus and Cybele’s are the featured local vendors
Hot Metal Hardware is celebrating their seven year anniversary, one deadly sin for every year they’ve been shaking their boo-ty! Vendors include Cybele’s witchy wares and Etna Print Circus’ cryptid design series. The lovely Steel City Sisters are running the raffles; past raffle goodies included pierogies, sex toys, and stuffed animals…who knows what they’ll have with them this time! Go out and give HMH all your dollar bills and love potions!

Highlights: 21+, all proceeds benefit Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania, local burlesque and gender performers, raffle prizes
The amazing performers at Ghouls Gone Wild will make you feeling scared and steamy at the same time! They have a tons of local talent in the lineup and the show is hosted by the one and only Viva Valezz! It’s going to be a great show for a great cause with ALL proceeds going to the Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania.
